DIT Internationalisation Fund

The Department for International Trade ha launched its new Internationalisation Fund for eligible businesses in England. Match-funded grants of between £1,000 and £9,000 will be available to help with food and drink export and Internationalisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for food and drink exporters to either kick start your international development and to help enter new export markets.

To assist experienced exporters, this funding is also a great investment to further accelerate current activities and expand your global reach.

To secure a government grant, you’ll need to fund a proportion of your costs yourself. This varies according to where your business is based and will be either 40 or 50% of the total cost.

The fund can be used to support areas including;

  • Market research

  • IP advice

  • Translation services

  • International social media

  • International SEO

  • Trade fairs

  • Independent market visits

  • Consultancy and other international commercial services

“As part of the UK government’s ongoing Food is GREAT campaign, government and British industry are aiming to boost UK trade in food and drink exports and will continue to work with exporters to help them break into new markets.”  source

In addition to ‘in market’ export support, the funding was utilised to build an e-commerce website for the brand with internationalised SEO to support export activities. If you would like to understand how you can benefit from this internationalisation grant, please complete this contact form.
