Virtual Export Manager Programme

The Virtual Export Manager Programme has been specifically designed to help food and drink exporters increase their overseas sales and/or enter new markets.

Funding is available for your company to buy-in professional expertise to assist with overseas trade. If you don’t have the specific technical exporting expertise or the personnel to provide practical export support, the VEM programme is a great opportunity to enlist food and drink export professionals (such as our team here at Bolst Global) to support your export project.

Export funding is available on a 50% match funding basis from a minimum project spend by a company of £1,000 up to £1,800.

Who can apply for VEM funding?

  • Company located in the Tees Valley area in the UK

  • Offering UK based products or services

  • Turnover of less than €50 million

  • Less than 250 employees

  • Ownership/autonomy (no greater than 25% capital)

  • Complise with ‘de minimus’ rules

Export Funding

Companies in the North East LEP area must complete their match funded projects and submit all grant claim payment forms by the end of May 2021.

Take a look at this short overview video for more information about the scheme.

The Virtual Export Manager Programme is delivered via the ‘Expanding Tees Valley Presence in International Markets’ project. This is part of the European Regional Development Fund, European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014 – 2020.
